Privacy Policy

We keep this short, plain, and honest. Here's exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

Effective March 1, 2026 Last updated March 1, 2026
The short version

We collect only what's necessary to reply to you and run the studio. We don't sell your data. We don't use advertising trackers. We use a privacy-friendly analytics tool that doesn't identify you. You can email us any time to see, correct, or delete anything we have.

Who we are

This website (wowcreates.com) is owned and operated by WOW Creates LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Hawaiʻi. In this policy, "we," "us," and "the studio" mean WOW Creates LLC. "You" means anyone visiting the site, sending us an inquiry, or engaging us for client work.

What we collect

Information you give us directly

When you use our contact form, send us an email, or start a project with us, we collect whatever you share with us. That typically includes your name, email address, company or project name, budget range, timeline, and a description of what you're looking to build. During an active engagement we may also collect a billing address, phone number, and any files, credentials, or content you send us so we can do the work.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site we may automatically log basic, non-identifying technical data: your approximate location (country/region), device type, browser, referring page, and which pages you viewed. This helps us understand what's working and fix what isn't. See Cookies & analytics for specifics.

Information we do not collect

We don't use advertising networks, cross-site trackers, session replay tools, or fingerprinting. We don't knowingly collect sensitive categories of data (health, financial, biometric, precise location, political views, etc.). If you share that kind of information with us as part of a project, we handle it under the engagement agreement, not this policy.

Why we collect it

We only use your information for the reasons we collected it:

  • To reply to you. If you send an inquiry, we use it to respond.
  • To do the work. Client data is used to deliver the services you hired us for.
  • To send invoices and get paid. Standard billing stuff.
  • To improve the site. Aggregate analytics help us make the site better, never to profile you personally.
  • To meet legal obligations. Tax records, contract records, and similar requirements under Hawaiʻi and U.S. federal law.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We don't use it for targeted advertising.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers who help us run the studio, and only to the extent they need it to do their job. These include:

  • Email & productivity: Google Workspace (email, calendar, docs).
  • Hosting & DNS: whoever hosts this site and our project environments.
  • Analytics: a privacy-friendly analytics provider (see below).
  • Payments & invoicing: for clients, our accounting and payment processor.
  • Professional advisors: our accountant and legal counsel, when needed.

We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or valid government request, or to protect our rights, safety, or property. If we're ever part of a merger or acquisition, information may transfer to the new entity, but this policy's terms continue to apply.

Cookies & analytics

This site uses a minimal set of cookies, just what's needed to remember your preferences (like tweak settings, if you're using our interactive previews). We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

For analytics we use a privacy-friendly, cookieless tool (such as Plausible or Fathom) that reports aggregate metrics without identifying individual visitors. No cross-site tracking, no personal profiles.

You can block cookies in your browser settings at any time without breaking the site.

How long we keep it

  • Inquiry emails: up to 24 months, then archived or deleted.
  • Client project files & correspondence: for the duration of the engagement plus 7 years (standard business records retention).
  • Invoices and tax records: 7 years, per IRS and Hawaiʻi tax requirements.
  • Analytics data: aggregated, no individual data retained beyond 12 months.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights over your personal information. We honor these rights for everyone, regardless of jurisdiction:

  • Access: ask us what we have about you.
  • Correction: ask us to fix anything wrong.
  • Deletion: ask us to delete your information (subject to legal retention requirements).
  • Portability: get a copy in a machine-readable format.
  • Objection: tell us to stop using your information for a specific purpose.
  • No sale: we don't sell data, so there's nothing to opt out of.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address in How to reach us. We'll respond within 30 days.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

California law gives you the specific rights listed above plus the right to know the categories of personal information we collect, disclose, or sell. We don't sell personal information. We won't discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

EU / UK residents (GDPR)

Our lawful bases for processing are: your consent (when you contact us), contract performance (client work), and legitimate interests (running and improving the site). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

How we protect it

We follow modern security practices: encrypted connections (HTTPS everywhere), strong unique passwords with multi-factor authentication on all studio accounts, encrypted storage for sensitive files, and the principle of least privilege for service providers.

No system is perfectly secure. If we ever have a data breach affecting you, we'll notify you as required by law and explain what happened and what we're doing about it.

Children

This site and our services are not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes, we'll make an effort to notify you (by email if you're a client, or by a notice on the site). Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
